Snr. Engineering Manager The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all engineering activities within the Ploiesti Plant, ensuring operational excellence, manufacturing efficiency, product quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. The role oversees process engineering, manufacturing engineering, maintenance engineering, industrialization, automation, and capital projects while supporting production targets, safety standards, and cost objectives. This position drives engineering strategy, manages engineering teams, and collaborates closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, EHS, and corporate engineering functions to support business goals and customer requirements.
Candidate profile: 10+ years of engineering experience in automotive manufacturing. 5+ years in engineering leadership or management roles. Experience with high-volume manufacturing environments. Proven track record in automation, process improvement, and capital project management. Lean manufacturing/ Six sigma /Blackbelt / Lean Expert desirable; Core tools knowledge and proven experience; People leadership and team development Change management Problem-solving and decision-making Stakeholder management Fluent in English; Job description Coordinates the activity of defining the best production flow, by establishing the capacity for all technological processes and evaluating the installed capacity in relation to the customers' requirements (orders).
Ensures the establishment of the best process parameters for obtaining the products requested by the customers, according to the customers' requirements. Ensures the establishment, standardization and improvement of technological processes and equipment at the plant level. Defines the preventive maintenance strategy, manages the preventive maintenance activity of the technical production equipment and tooling, including the methods of predictive maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance so as to achieve the factory's objectives of productivity, cost, delivery.
