Production Operator Location: Hillsborough, NC As a Plant Operator, you will support safe and efficient plant operations by operating equipment, maintaining product quality, completing inspections, and ensuring reliable production output. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a manufacturing environment and are committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, elevators, and forklifts.
- Control material flow to produce products that meet established quality standards.
- Complete daily operational and 6S inspections in accordance with plant procedures.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and housekeeping activities.
- Conduct cleanup tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, and shoveling as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of equipment and work areas.
- Communicate plant operating status and equipment conditions with maintenance and plant leadership.
- Report safety concerns, near misses, injuries, and equipment issues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a manufacturing, mining, processing, or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to complete production records and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- Working Environment Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required PPE and obtain respirator clearance.
