YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven colleague to strengthen our Shipping Agent team. As a member of our Shipping department, you play a crucial role in preparing and processing transport documentation. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as maintaining relationships with suppliers and carriers, coordinating shipments, and ensuring all transport documentation is complete and accurate. With your organizational skills, you contribute to an efficient and smooth logistics operation. This position offers the opportunity to gain broad insight into the entire logistics chain within an international, dynamic environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
After goods have been picked and packed, you prepare the shipping documentation. For export shipments, you will coordinate with our Customs department to arrange export documentation. You communicate with carriers regarding shipment pickups. If any issues or uncertainties arise, you’ll be in direct contact with our customer. In addition to your administrative responsibilities, you will also support operational warehouse activities when required. This may include assisting with the movement of goods, loading and unloading shipments, and operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift and reach truck.
If you do not yet hold the required certificates, CEVA can provide the necessary training through our in-house warehouse trainer. This variety of tasks will help you build a deep understanding of the logistics chain, as well as valuable skills in planning, communication, and problem-solving.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a proactive and experienced professional who is driven to make a difference in our customer service. With your hands-on mindset and communication skills, no problem is too big to solve. You are analytically strong and process-oriented, enjoying improvement and process optimization initiatives. You are stress-resistant and flexible towards your colleagues and working hours during peak times or holidays. We are also looking for someone who brings the following skills and experience: Preferably experience in maintaining customer and supplier relationships; Operational experience with dangerous goods or willing to learn; Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively resolve customer issues; Task- and solution-oriented, able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; A positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow within the role; Hands-on mentality and willingness to perform operational warehouse activities when needed; Willingness and ability to operate forklift and reach truck equipment as part of the role; Forklift and reach truck certification is not required; training can be provided internally; Experience with warehouse processes is considered an advantage; Solid computer skills, including MS Office; experience with SAP is preferable; Good command of the English language; Providing a Certificate of No Objection (VOG) is required; the application costs will be covered by CEVA.
