Finley Buttes Landfill, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire a full-time, year-round Heavy Equipment Operator/ Laborer at our facility in Boardman, OR.
The Schedule is: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Starting rate of pay is $26.65/HR.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs routine inspection and maintenance on Equipment such as checking oil, water, and tires.
- Safety trained on Truck Tipper, Forklifts, and Heavy Equipment
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Helps with Flagging on Site to ensure traffic is flowing.
- Helps Drivers with Tarping their Trucks.
- Help with on Site Maintenance including litter pick up and Backpack Blower.
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
- Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required objects over 50 pounds.
- Safely Directing Traffic by Flagging in the Transfer Station.
- Helps CDL Drivers with Tarping Open Containers.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as Front-End Loader, Forklift, and other Heavy Equipment.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
