Job Title: Chemical CompounderJob DescriptionThe Chemical Compounder is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and adherence to ISO9001 standards, while managing safety topics and leading weekly safety meetings. This role requires covering various testing areas in the lab as needed, monitoring sample statuses, and closing and releasing product results. Additionally, the Chemical Compounder will identify and communicate personnel issues, recommend resolutions, and address errors in both lab and production processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare safety topics and chair weekly safety meetings.
- Ensure the quality of products and adherence to ISO9001 standards.
- Cover any required testing areas in the lab when needed.
- Monitor sample status in the QC Database and release product results promptly.
- Identify, communicate, and recommend resolutions for personnel issues to the Manager.
- Retrain and recommend corrective actions to address errors by the lab and production, such as missing labels or incorrect product information.
- Enter new customer and product specifications and maintain current specifications in the quality management system.
- Validate Certificates of Analysis first released from quality management and ensure correct specifications are in place.
- Monitor raw materials in quality inspection and release them in a timely manner, resolving any specification issues.
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Proficiency in chemical testing.
- Understanding of wet chemistry and raw material knowledge.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates during the first shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with a focus on quality assurance and adherence to established standards.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Plainfield, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
