About the role
We are hiring a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to design, build and operate always-on, low-latency and highly secure payment platforms that support large-scale financial transactions.
This is a senior, hands-on engineering role focused on highly available, mission-critical platforms. You will work across distributed systems, cloud platforms, observability and reliability engineering to improve stability, performance, scalability and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with engineering, development and infrastructure teams while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day technical work.
Your key responsibilities
- Design and implement reliability architecture and engineering standards for scalable, resilient and operationally efficient services, platforms and infrastructure.
- Build and evolve enterprise-grade observability capabilities across metrics, logs and traces, including service-level objectives and service-level indicators, to provide actionable insights into system health and customer experience.
- Implement and continuously improve site reliability engineering practices, including error budgets, capacity modeling, resilience testing, graceful degradation and operational readiness.
- Architect automation and self-service capabilities, and design secure continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, deployment automation, quality gates and rollback strategies.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform deep root-cause analysis and collaborate across engineering, platform and infrastructure teams to deliver long-term reliability improvements.
What you bring
Required qualifications
- Deep software engineering expertise designing, building and operating large-scale, distributed, application programming interface-driven systems in production.
- Strong continuous integration and continuous delivery experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or Harness, including pipeline design, deployment automation and release engineering.
- Expertise in observability, alerting and reliability engineering using technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk or the Elastic Stack.
- Strong cloud experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform, including infrastructure as code, platform automation and cloud-native design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows, SQL Server or Oracle databases, and complex enterprise technology environments, combined with experience operating highly available, mission-critical platforms.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell or similar technologies; C# and .NET experience is an additional advantage.
- Experience owning reliability strategy or platform initiatives spanning multiple teams or business units.
- Experience modernizing legacy financial systems into cloud-native or hybrid architectures with a focus on resilience and compliance.
The impact you’ll make
As a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will help strengthen the reliability, scalability and performance of mission-critical payment platforms. Your work will reduce operational risk and manual effort through automation while improving visibility into platform health. By driving reliability engineering practices from design through production, you will help teams deliver stable and efficient technology that supports large-scale financial transactions.
