Artheon is seeking a motivated Planning Intern to join our expanding planning team in Albany, NY. This position provides an opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience working on municipal planning projects throughout New York State. The intern will work collaboratively with our planning team on a variety of projects, including comprehensive plans, downtown revitalization initiatives, zoning and land use projects, environmental review, and public engagement.

- Conduct demographic, land use, and other technical research.
- Assist with technical writing, document preparation, editing, and report production.
- Prepare maps, graphics, tables, presentations, and other planning materials.
- Assist with public engagement activities, including community surveys, public workshops, and meetings.
- Attend municipal meetings, public meetings, and hearings, as appropriate.
- Assist with the preparation of comprehensive plans, zoning regulations, downtown revitalization plans, and other planning documents.
- Support environmental review activities, including SEQRA and NEPA documentation.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, and other team members on a variety of projects.
- Assist with the preparation of planning grants or supporting documentation.
