- The Asset Accountant is responsible for the accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of the company’s fixed and current assets.
- This role contributes to maintaining a precise asset register, calculating depreciation, reconciling balances, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax standards.
- Recording and maintaining fixed and current assets in the accounting system; Calculating and posting depreciation of assets in accordance with internal accounting policies; Verifying supporting documentation for asset acquisitions, transfers, or disposals; Performing periodic reconciliations of the asset register with accounting records; Participating in physical asset inventories and documenting results; Preparing basic reports on assets and their status; Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and applicable legislation on asset accounting.
- Ensuring the correct and up-to-date recording of assets in accounting records; Adhering to depreciation policies and applicable accounting standards; Maintaining the confidentiality of financial information; Identifying and reporting discrepancies in the asset register; Complying with internal procedures and applicable legislation.
