Job Description
- 1. Communicates with Concrete Finishers and others to perform job tasks.
- 2. Mixes grout, using a drill or concrete mixing machine.
- 3. Flags concrete trucks, collects tickets, and verifies correct mix designs are being placed.
- 4. Removes rough or defective spots from concrete using a grinder, hammer, and / or chisel.
- 5. Wets and rubs concrete with an abrasive stone to impart the appropriate finish.
- 6. Screeds, floats, and trowels poured concrete floors, walls, and sidewalks to specified textures using hand tools or power tools.
- 7. Directs concrete to the forms and spreads it to a specified depth and workable consistency.
- 8. Molds expansion joints and edges using jointers, straight edge, and edging tools.
- 9. Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- 10. Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
- 11. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- 12. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with / without tools and building materials.
- 13. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
- 14. Safely operates power tools and equipment.
- 15. Must be able to stand or walk on rebar mats (narrow surfaces).
- 16. Must be able to climb ladders or stairs and work at heights.
- 17. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- 18. Typically requires a minimum of 6 months industrial construction experience.
