Job Description
- Your Resposibility as AM Commodity buyer - Iron casting : Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Iron Castings.
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, tooling, logistics, and contracts.
- Achieve annual cost reduction targets through strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
- Drive supplier localization and dual-sourcing programs.
- Manage supplier performance, capability development, and business continuity.
- Support new product development and engineering change activities.
- Monitor supplier financial health, capacity, and operational risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, cost, and delivery.
- Your Profile as AM Commodity buyer - Iron casting Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in Purchasing/Strategic Sourcing.
- Experience sourcing castings for Commercial Vehicle and Off-Highway components such as Calipers, Crankcases, Axle Housings, Differential Housings, Wheel Hubs, Transmission Housings, and Transaxles.
- Strong knowledge of Iron Casting manufacturing processes, machining, and metallurgy.
- Expertise in cost analysis, should-costing, VA/VE, and TCO methodology.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Proficient in SAP/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
