- Perform duct routing, air diversion, resizing, retrofitting, and system modifications to improve airflow, resolve distribution issues, and accommodate building changes.
- Maintain and service commercial refrigeration equipment, including reach-in/upright single- and double-door refrigerators and freezers, chest freezers, blast freezers, undercounter refrigerators, ice-making machines, ice cream machines, and other refrigeration appliances.
- Inspect and maintain compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, thermostats, pressure switches, solenoid valves, expansion devices, and associated refrigeration components.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of electric motor starter connections, including direct-on-line (DOL) starters, contactors, overload relays, control wiring, and motor protection devices.
- Troubleshoot refrigeration and HVAC control systems, including temperature controllers, sensors, timers, relays, contactors, and basic electronic control circuits.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, performance checks, temperature monitoring, and operational testing to ensure equipment functions within specified parameters.
- Identify refrigerant leaks, abnormal operating pressures, electrical faults, poor cooling performance, and compressor or motor failures; perform repairs and refrigerant handling in accordance with applicable safety and environmental requirements.
- Support the maintenance of ice-making and ice cream machines, ensuring proper operation, hygiene, and compliance with food safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment service records, fault reports, and spare-parts inventories.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, particularly in kitchens, food storage facilities, restaurants, and other critical hotel operational areas.
- Coordinate with the engineering team and external service providers while minimizing disruption to hotel operations and guest services.
- Comply with hotel procedures, electrical safety standards, lockout/tagout requirements where applicable, and permit-to-work systems.
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, ventilation fans, exhaust systems, refrigeration equipment, and associated HVAC&R components.
- Operate, inspect and troubleshoot two 800TR and two 400TR water cooled Trane chiller plants connected to three BAC cooling towers through distribution pumps and piping network.
