About this role
We are seeking a proactive Lead Assistant Manager for our SGU_F&A Ops_F&A Operations > IMU_Insurance_Insurance P&C team. The role focuses on Record‑to‑Report (RTR) activities, ensuring accurate month‑end closing, preparing journal entries, managing accruals, and reconciling bank and balance‑sheet accounts. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with effective client communication.
- Prepare and post accurate account journal entries on a daily basis.
- Execute month‑end closing activities in line with timelines and standards.
- Calculate and post accruals for expenses and revenues.
- Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to address queries.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the RTR cycle.
- Utilize Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) for data analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (mandatory).
- 6-9 years of experience in account journal entries, accruals, and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
- Hands‑on experience with month‑end closing and Record‑to‑Report processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables (good to have).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated client‑facing exposure and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
