MIG Welder / Fabricator | $25-$30/hr

Job Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Assemble and fabricate parts to meet customer and quality specifications
- Use tape measures, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to ensure accuracy
- Inspect finished welds and assemblies for quality standards
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials when needed
- Assist with general fabrication tasks using shop equipment such as drill presses and brakes
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Work closely with team members to complete projects on schedule
Qualifications
- 6+ months of MIG welding experience or completion of a welding training program
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Skills
- Carbon steel and stainless steel welding
- Fabrication and mechanical assembly
- Forklift and overhead crane operation
- Brake press or drill press experience
- Manufacturing or industrial shop experience

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
