Job Title: General Production (2nd Shift) ($19.00/hr.)

Job DescriptionThis role supports a high-precision production line that assembles and prepares cable and electronic components used in specialized construction testing equipment. You will work in a clean, laid-back, production-based environment performing small-part assembly, visual inspection, and general production tasks. One opening is available on 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. 12:00 a.m.), and candidates must be comfortable reading work instructions and meeting daily production quotas. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half.

  • Read and follow detailed work instructions and work orders to meet daily production quotas across assigned stations.
  • Perform highly repetitive production tasks while seated at a workstation for the majority of the shift.
  • Maintain consistent productivity and quality to ensure the production line flows smoothly without bottlenecks.
  • Perform small-part assembly and general production tasks with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Follow directions regarding the quantity and length of cable assemblies that must be completed each day.
  • Use hand tools and small presses as needed for assembly tasks, following all safety and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that each stage of the process is adequately supplied and does not delay downstream operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and follow all housekeeping and safety procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience assembling small parts with accuracy and consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform visual inspection with high attention to detail.
  • Experience following written and verbal instructions in a production setting.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-based environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing repetitive hand and foot motions.
  • Strong focus on meeting productivity metrics and quality standards.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality to support continuous production flow.

  • Familiarity with small-part assembly tools, such as hand presses and basic hand tools.
  • Comfort using both hands and feet simultaneously to operate equipment or pedals.
  • Ability to route and organize wiring or cable assemblies according to instructions.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and considered for multiple production roles (gluing operator, shelling cables, housing cable assembly).

Why Work Here?

You join a very clean, laid-back production environment where you can listen to music with ear pods while you work (audio only, no videos). The organization offers competitive pay rates for this type of work and provides the opportunity for contractors to be considered for direct hire after demonstrating strong attendance, a positive attitude, and solid productivity over time. You will contribute to products that play a critical role in construction and structural engineering, supporting tools that help test foundations, evaluate concrete quality, and reduce guesswork in foundation design.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a production-based environment where all related positions operate in a single room and support a continuous flow process: crimping, housing cable assemblies, shelling cables, and gluing. If one stage falls behind, it affects the rest of the line, so teamwork and consistency are essential. The workspace is very clean and organized, with approximately 12 employees seated at individual workstations. The atmosphere is described as laid-back, yet focused on productivity and quality. Ear pods are allowed so you can listen to music while working, as long as you do not watch videos.

The role is primarily seated, involves repetitive motions with hands and feet, and uses small parts, cables, and simple hand tools. Shifts include 1st shift (7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.) and 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. 12:00 a.m.), with this opening on 2nd shift. The products you help build support construction industry tools that resemble handheld devices used to test foundation conditions and concrete quality.
