Job Title: Sheet Metal TechnicianLocation: New Albany, OHPay: Up to $35/hr Per Diem: $100/dayJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our team for an exciting new build medical facility project located in New Albany, OH. This project is expected to last for about a year and offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team on an industrial project installing ductwork and sheet metal.
Responsibilities
- Install ductwork and sheet metal systems on industrial projects.
- Layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.
- Maintain equipment in good working order and perform timely maintenance.
- Follow all OSHA and TPMC standards for safety.
- Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites.
Essential Skills
- Experience with RTUs, curb units, and various sizes of ductwork.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
- Proficiency in HVAC installation.
- Must possess OSHA 10 certification or higher, or ability to obtain before starting.
- Experience with setting curbs, hanging ducts, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.
- Own hand tools including wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drill, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, and screwdrivers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, ductwork/sheet metal.
- Journeyman card is preferred.
- Valid license and reliable vehicle.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
