Job Title: Warehouse Janitor 2nd Shift (2:00 PM 10:00 PM)Job DescriptionThis role maintains a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment by performing a wide range of janitorial and custodial duties. You will support daily warehouse operations by keeping floors, equipment, and work areas free of debris, with a particular focus on paper waste handling and general cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse by picking up paper and other debris from the floor throughout the shift.
• Operate the paper baler machine by loading excess paper and safely activating the machine according to established procedures.
• Sweep warehouse floors regularly to keep aisles, workstations, and common areas clean and free of obstructions.
• Perform general janitorial duties such as mopping, dusting, and basic housekeeping in warehouse areas as needed.
• Clean and tidy designated areas, including walkways and work zones, to support a safe and efficient work environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines while using cleaning tools, equipment, and the paper baler machine.
• Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or unusual conditions in the warehouse to the appropriate personnel.
• Support production and warehouse operations by ensuring that trash receptacles, paper waste, and recyclables are handled promptly and properly.
• Complete assigned cleaning tasks within the scheduled 2nd shift (2:00 PM 10:00 PM) and assist with additional tasks as requested.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping duties in an industrial, warehouse, or similar environment.
• Ability to sweep, mop, dust, and perform general cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Capability to safely operate basic cleaning equipment and tools.
• Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate a paper baler machine, including loading paper and activating the machine safely.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure floors and work areas remain clean and free of debris.
• Reliability in working a consistent 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate loads as required for janitorial duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or paper-handling environment.
• Familiarity with safe handling and disposal of paper waste and recyclables.
• Comfort working around production equipment and understanding basic warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage cleaning tasks with minimal supervision.

The role follows a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The environment may include varying temperatures, moving equipment, and moderate noise levels typical of warehouse and production operations. You should expect to be on your feet for most of the shift and to wear appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial warehouse setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
