Fork Lift Operator @ Aerotek

Job Title: Fork Lift OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Fork Lift Operator to join our team. This role requires flexibility to work any day of the week, at any time of day, for up to 12 hours. The successful candidate will drive forklifts and operate machinery as needed in a safe, fast-paced environment. Join us in our mission to help farmers feed the world while protecting the planet.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forklift professionally and accident-free, ensuring accurate forklift inspections.
• Maintain and clean the forklift systematically.
• Track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.
• Perform additional manual tasks directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as inventory sampling and cleaning.
• Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
• During seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.

• Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
• Capability to read scales.
• Multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
• Alertness and awareness while driving the forklift safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate in tighter confined spaces with a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year operating a forklift in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Prior forklift certification preferred.
• Experience using RF scan guns.
• Ability to work in tight proximities with racks 30 feet high.
• Pass pre-employment screenings.
• Reliable transportation to the worksite.
• Maintain a positive attitude, honesty, and respect for all.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn company systems.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
