Job Title: General Laborer (Material Handler)Job DescriptionThe General Laborer (Material Handler) supports daily production operations by safely handling materials, picking and replenishing orders, and moving products throughout the facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate inventory flow, timely order fulfillment, and a clean, safe working environment within a busy production setting.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manual pallet jacks to load and unload raw materials, scrap, and finished goods within the facility.
• Identify, pick, and transport the correct raw materials and parts to their designated locations on the production floor.
• Pick orders accurately using paper pick tickets and, where applicable, RF scanners.
• Replenish workstations with required materials and components to support continuous production.
• Perform stocking, inventory counting, and basic inventory management tasks to maintain accurate material levels.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks and staging materials.
• Handle sheet metal, packaging materials, and other production components as needed.
• Use basic hand tools and power tools safely to support general production, assembly, packing, and carpentry-related tasks as assigned.
• Operate all equipment, including pallet jacks and other material handling tools, in a safe manner while following all company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, eyewear, and cut-resistant gloves, at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and support general labor tasks throughout the production environment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate material needs or issues to support smooth production flow.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a production environment that can be loud and dirty, requiring consistent use of PPE such as safety glasses, eyewear, and cut-resistant gloves. Work is performed on a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials using manual pallet jacks, RF scanners, hand tools, and power tools. The setting is fast-paced and physically active, with regular interaction with production equipment, sheet metal, packaging materials, and shipping and receiving areas. Appropriate work attire is required to accommodate a manufacturing environment and the safe use of PPE.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
