Business Development Scientist (Immuno-Oncology & Preclinical Research)
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Scientist to join a growing organization supporting the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. This unique opportunity combines scientific expertise with business development, allowing you to work directly with leading biotech and biopharma companies while helping advance innovative preclinical research programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of in vivo research services, including immuno-oncology, animal models, and preclinical pharmacology capabilities.
- Identify and engage prospective clients within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key scientific and business stakeholders.
- Lead business development activities, including opportunity generation, client presentations, contract negotiations, and closing new business.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Partner with the marketing team to increase brand awareness and strengthen market presence.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and advances within the biopharmaceutical research landscape.
Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience working with mouse models and in vivo research.
- Strong interest in both scientific innovation and commercial strategy within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Passion for building relationships and networking with scientists, researchers, and industry leaders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Prior business development, sales, or revenue-generation experience is a plus.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Waltham, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
