This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting cell-based assays, antibody characterization, preclinical research, and PK/PD studies. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining mammalian cell lines and conducting laboratory assays in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, academic research, or similar laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and culture mammalian cell lines used in antibody development and cell-based assays.
  • Perform routine cell culture activities including cell maintenance, passaging, counting, seeding, harvesting, and preparation of cells for experiments.
  • Prepare and process cells and biological samples for antibody-binding and functional studies.
  • Perform ELISA, protein-binding, immunological, competition, and cell-based functional assays.
  • Support antibody characterization including binding, stability, and developability studies.
  • Conduct biolayer interferometry (BLI) experiments to evaluate antibody-antigen binding kinetics and affinity.
  • Assist with SEC-HPLC, Fc receptor binding, and antibody stability studies.
  • Prepare media, buffers, proteins, antibodies, and other laboratory materials.

  • Experience with biological sample preparation and standard laboratory procedures.
  • Ability to consistently follow experimental protocols and maintain detailed, accurate laboratory documentation.
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

Experience level may range from entry level candidates with relevant academic/internship laboratory experience to Research Associates with approximately 35 years of industry or research experience.

  • Experience with cell-based assays, ELISA, protein-binding assays, or functional assays.
  • Experience with BLI or surface plasmon resonance (SPR).
  • Familiarity with SEC-HPLC, Fc receptor binding, antibody stability, or developability studies.
  • Exposure to preclinical animal studies or PK/PD sample analysis.
  • Experience supporting biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or translational drug-development programs.
  • Familiarity with IND-aligned documentation, data traceability, or regulated research environments.

Work Environment

This is a primarily laboratory-based position involving routine mammalian cell culture, antibody and protein testing, biological sample processing, and cell-based assays.
