  • Engineer and provision VoIP phones, SIP gateways, PBX interfaces, and related communication devices in accordance with specific project requirements.
  • Perform system integration activities, including bench testing, functional verification, fault isolation, and root-cause troubleshooting prior to equipment deployment.
  • Develop formal test plans, detailed test procedures, acceptance criteria, test records, and corrective-action documentation to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Create and maintain configuration baselines, wiring diagrams, interface definitions, bills of material, technical notes, and as-built records for each project.
  • Produce and review user manuals, installation instructions, maintenance procedures, and engineering work instructions to support internal teams and end users.
  • Interpret technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and customer documentation, and identify technical risks, conflicts, and missing information that may impact project execution.
  • Support electrical and mechanical integration activities, including cable and connector selection, terminations, rack layouts, equipment mounting, labeling, and assembly verification.

  • Practical experience with Ethernet networking, including configuration of managed network devices and basic routing parameters.
  • Experience with VoIP and SIP platforms, including provisioning VoIP phones, SIP gateways, PBX interfaces, and related communication devices.
  • Ability to develop and execute detailed test procedures, including creation of test plans, acceptance criteria, and test records.
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including writing installation instructions, user manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret statements of work (SOWs), specifications, drawings, equipment manuals, and customer requirements, and translate them into engineered solutions.
  • Capability to identify missing, conflicting, or ambiguous technical requirements and determine what must be designed, configured, tested, and documented.
  • Experience creating and maintaining engineering documentation such as wiring diagrams, interface definitions, bills of material, and as-built records.
  • Familiarity with engineering change control and configuration management practices for hardware, software, drawings, and project records.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on environment involving system integration, bench testing, and on-site commissioning.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with engineering, production, quality, project management, vendors, and customers.

  • Ability to work independently while owning technical tasks from requirements review through final release.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation, configuration baselines, and change control.
  • Comfort providing technical support during staging, installation, commissioning, customer acceptance testing, and post-deployment troubleshooting.
  • Motivation to grow within a stable, industry-leading environment that offers exposure to both military and commercial projects.
