- Basic understanding of construction documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and other field documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in active healthcare environments with sensitivity to patient care, cleanliness, and safety requirements.
Job DescriptionThis Superintendent role focuses on managing small-scale renovation and maintenance projects within active healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, and retail environments. Typical projects include flooring replacements, finish updates, minor roof repairs, and other light construction work. The Superintendent coordinates day-to-day jobsite activities, ensures compliance with healthcare facility requirements, and serves as the primary point of contact between subcontractors, internal teams, and on-site staff. The role does not require heavy commercial construction experience, but it does require strong organization, clear communication, and a solid understanding of working in sensitive, occupied environments where safety, cleanliness, and minimal disruption are essential. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
