R&D Technician / Engineering Technician
Location: Hopewell Junction, NY (100% Onsite)Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday | 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM (4-Day Work Week)Pay: $21-$23/hrLaunch Your Career in Adanced ManufacturingA growing manufacturer serving the semiconductor and technology industries is seeking an R&D Technician / Engineering Technician to join its team. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electronic products using prints, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Perform product testing, troubleshooting, quality inspections, and verification activities.
- Review work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs) prior to production.
- Identify assembly, testing, and quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Work closely with Engineering, R&D, Production, and Manufacturing teams.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collect production and quality data and maintain documentation.
- Utilize power tools and electronic test equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, assembly, production, technician, or related experience.
- Experience with assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or quality inspection activities.
- Ability to read and follow prints, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Preferred
- Associate's Degree or Trade School certification.
- Experience with electronics, mechanical assembly, product testing, or quality control.
- Exposure to R&D, prototype, or engineering environments.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopewell Junction, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
