We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable Nursery Assistants in Gloucester to support local early years settings. Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily care, learning and development of children in the nursery.
- Assist with engaging activities that encourage creativity, play and early learning.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
- Support children's personal care needs, including mealtimes and hygiene routines.
- Work collaboratively with nursery staff to ensure children's wellbeing and safety.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- A caring, patient and positive attitude.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability, flexibility and a proactive approach.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child welfare.
- Previous childcare experience or a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential for all placements.
- Willingness to complete the necessary compliance checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
