Are you a mechanical CAD professional who understands how things are actually manufactured, not just how they look on screen?
We're working with a multidisciplinary engineering organisation that designs bespoke industrial equipment for energy and process applications.
The company is expanding its engineering team and is looking for a CAD Engineer with a practical understanding of mechanical design and fabricated assemblies.
Your responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed 3D mechanical models.
- Produce accurate manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Interpret engineering specifications, design standards and customer requirements.
- Work with engineers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
- Support design reviews, technical documentation and project delivery.
- Collaborate with international engineering colleagues on project requirements.
The experience we're looking for
- Mechanical CAD design experience using recognised software.
- Knowledge of fabrication methods and mechanical assemblies.
- Understanding of engineering standards and technical drawing requirements.
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Experience in HVAC, air handling, filtration equipment, industrial machinery or fabricated structures would be particularly relevant.
