SEND Teaching Assistant - Bury St Edmunds - £100 per day
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Pay: £95 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only

Prospero Teaching is recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants for a specialist school in Bury St Edmunds. We're looking for patient, reliable people who understand that progress looks different for every pupil and can adapt their support to individual needs.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning, develop independence and feel confident at school.
The SEND Teaching Assistant role
- Support pupils individually and in small groups, adapting activities to their needs.
- Build positive relationships and provide consistent encouragement throughout the school day.
- Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
- Work with teaching staff to follow individual support plans and recognise pupils' progress.
- Help create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
We're looking for:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in education, care or a similar setting.
- A calm, patient approach and confidence supporting pupils who need additional reassurance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and helping pupils achieve their potential.
Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Support Worker would be particularly relevant.
