A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a long-established and highly respected law firm in Windsor as Head of Family.
This is not simply another Family Solicitor vacancy.
The successful candidate will take over an established department from a senior lawyer who is retiring after more than 35 years with the firm, inheriting a quality caseload, longstanding client relationships and the opportunity to shape the future direction of the department.
The firm has an excellent reputation across Berkshire and Surrey, a loyal client base and very low staff turnover. The role offers genuine autonomy and the chance to become a key figure within a growing practice.
The Role
- Manage a varied private family law caseload
- Divorce and separation matters
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Children Act matters
- Cohabitation disputes
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
- Business development and networking
- Supervision and mentoring of junior team members
- Strategic growth of the Family Department
The Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Ideally 5+ years PQE
- Strong background in private family law
- Comfortable managing clients independently
- Commercially minded with an interest in business development
- Able to build and maintain referral relationships
- Ambitious and interested in leading a department
