Owen Daniels are recruiting for a number of Senior Mechanical Design Engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading aerospace manufacturer in South Wales. Working within a cross-functional engineering team, you will support the design and development of innovative aerospace products from concept through to manufacture, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and programme requirements.

Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace applications.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Support projects through the full product lifecycle, from concept and development to production.
- Participate in design reviews, testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Aerospace or Structural Engineering.
- Previous mechanical design engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CATIA V5 or a similar 3D CAD package, with knowledge of PLM systems.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerancing and design-for-manufacture principles.
- Experience of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication and plastics, supported by strong problem-solving and communication skills.
