About the Role
My indsutry leading heavy manufacturing client is currently seeking a Design Engineer on contract basis to join the Aftertreatment Engineering Team. This role will be focused on developing solutions to address challenging requirements within New Product Introduction frame work and / or updates to current engine products and platforms for a variety of Off-highway applications. The successful candidate will serve as an experienced engineer in leading and delivering projects that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across global Manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you will be expected to have experience in designing IC Engine components and systems, knowledge of IC engines components and /or emissions modules (Aftertreatment technology), be able to lead, plan and execute challenging tasks/projects with minimal supervision.
Relevant experience in design and development of a variety of engine systems and exhaust / emissions modules. Ideally experience in the following areas is preferred but not limited to:
- Aftertreatment and emissions modules and complex Mounting systems design and development including DEF mixing units. Working in a multi-disciplined team to ensure solutions meet customer, durability and functional requirements.
- Design and develop solutions for complex issues arising from the Quality and Manufacturing environments.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure design solutions are aligned to high quality and cost expectations.

- GD&T Knowledge and Application
