We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant for an immediate start at a charming rural school in Lancaster. This role involves working on a 1:2:1 basis, providing academic support to a pupil in Year 1. Day-to-day of the role
- Provide targeted academic support to a Year 1 pupil, working closely on a 1:2:1 basis.
- Engage with educational activities that enhance the pupil's learning experience.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to tailor educational approaches to the pupil's needs.
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress to teachers and parents.
- Assist in creating a supportive and effective learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A patient and nurturing approach, with a focus on academic support.
