About this role

Lead the deals behind the brands everyone knows

We are partnering exclusively with a leading global advisory firm to appoint a Manager to it's high-performing Consumer M&A team in London. The team is a recognised name in the mid-market, with a pipeline built on trusted relationships with founders, private equity houses and corporate acquirers across food and beverage, retail, leisure, hospitality, health and wellness, and e-commerce.

This is not a back-office role. It’s a front-line, client-facing position for someone ready to step up, own execution and build a name in one of the most dynamic sectors in deal making.

The opportunity

You’ll take real ownership of live transactions from day one, working directly with Directors and Partners and with clients at the very top of their businesses.

  • Lead the execution of buy-side, sell-side and fundraising mandates, managing deal timetables, workstreams and advisers end to end
  • Own the work: financial modelling, valuation, information memoranda, buyer and target identification, and negotiation support
  • Be the day-to-day face of the deal for clients, bidders and investors
  • Coach and develop Analysts and Associates, shaping the next generation of the team
  • Help win business by contributing to pitches, market insight and origination, with the platform and the profile to build your own client relationships
  • Work across borders with the firm’s international network on cross-border mandates

What you’ll bring

  • Proven M&A or corporate finance experience at Assistant Manager or Manager level (or equivalent) from an advisory, investment bank or boutique background
  • A track record of executing completed transactions, ideally with consumer, retail or leisure exposure (a strong deal record can outweigh sector experience)
  • A relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) is highly desirable
  • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills, with the commercial judgement to match
  • Polished communication skills and the presence to engage founders and senior stakeholders
  • The drive and ambition to progress towards Director level

Why this role stands out

  • Real progression: a clear, transparent route to Director for those who deliver
  • A platform with reach: mid-market agility backed by the resources, brand and global network of a major firm
  • Meaningful deal flow: a busy, diverse pipeline and genuine responsibility, not just exposure
  • A culture that backs its people: collaborative, entrepreneurial and genuinely supportive, with no ego-driven hierarchy
  • A package that reflects your impact: competitive salary, performance bonus, pension, private healthcare and flexible hybrid working
  • Investment in you: structured training and support for professional development
