Data Storage Solution Architect
Location: Remote
Contract: Inside IR35
We are looking for an experienced Data Storage Solution Architect to join a major transformation programme supporting critical enterprise services.
This role sits within a Service Operations team and has been created to support increased project demand, with a particular focus on a large-scale Data Centre Exit Programme. You will play a key role in ensuring storage, data protection, and recovery capabilities remain resilient throughout migration and transformation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-scale storage solutions.
- Lead storage architecture, strategy, and transformation initiatives.
- Deliver data protection, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Support data centre migration and exit projects.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance.
- Engage with stakeholders across operational and project teams.
- Support the successful delivery of critical infrastructure and transformation programmes.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Storage Architect, Infrastructure Architect, or Solution Architect.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise storage platforms and technologies.
- Experience with data protection, backup, and recovery solutions.
- Expertise in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Experience delivering data centre migration and transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams.
Desirable
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS).
- Knowledge of VMware and virtualisation technologies.
- Experience working within large-scale, complex enterprise environments.
