What’s the opportunity?
- Kick-start your career with a hands-on electrical apprenticeship at one of Western Australia's leading gold operations.
- As an Apprentice HV Electrician, you'll complete a structured four-year apprenticeship while gaining exposure to both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, fixed plant infrastructure, electrical installations and maintenance activities across our Mungari Operations.
- Working alongside experienced electricians and mentors, you'll develop the practical skills, safety knowledge and technical expertise required to become a qualified HV Electrician.
- Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you'll: Assist qualified electricians with planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Support the inspection, testing, installation, repair and commissioning of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Learn fault-finding and diagnostic techniques across electrical systems.
- Participate in maintenance shutdowns and project work.
- Complete trade school, practical training and competency assessments as part of your apprenticeship.
- Develop your skills through structured on-the-job training and mentoring.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Follow electrical isolation, lock out/tag out and permit-to-work procedures.
- Participate in safety initiatives, toolbox meetings and workplace inspections.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning, teamwork and safe work practices.

It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers. This position is based on a 7 day on, 7 day off dayshift only roster, and is residential to Kalgoorlie . The future here is bright; you could be part of it.
