This is a hands-on driving position that combines local deliveries, loading and unloading, route navigation, and customer service.
- Safely operate a 26' box truck throughout the NYC/NJ area
- Deliver groceries and food products accurately and on time
- Load and unload products while ensuring items are handled carefully
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at each delivery
- Use GPS, smartphones, and routing applications to navigate routes efficiently
- Manage daily delivery schedules and complete assigned routes within expected timeframes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable delivery vehicle
- Safely operate in varying traffic and weather conditions
- Maintain flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
What Were Looking For:
- 26' box truck driving experience required
- 2+ years of box truck driving experience preferred
- Active DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable driving throughout NYC and NJ
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable with loading and unloading deliveries
- Ability to use GPS and smartphone-based routing applications
- Flexible/open availability
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to manage a fast-paced delivery schedule
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
