MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
During the Detailed Design (DD) phase, the S&TC Project Installation Coordination Manager coordinates installation-readiness and constructability activities to ensure that design deliverables are safe, constructible, maintainable, properly interfaced and sufficiently mature for transition to construction and site execution. The role serves as the main installation interface between Project Management, Engineering, Installation Engineering, Field Operations and relevant stakeholders. In compliance with applicable EHS requirements, including the Zero Deviation principle, quality standards and regulatory requirements, the role is responsible for: Defining and maintaining the S&TC installation strategy, including installation phasing and sequencing, work-front assumptions, site-readiness prerequisites, access conditions and logistics requirements.
Reviewing Detailed Design deliverables for constructability, accessibility, maintainability, installation safety and compatibility with site conditions, and ensuring the timely closure of installation-related comments. Coordinating installation requirements and interfaces with relevant internal and external parties. Providing installation inputs to the design, including access requirements, temporary works, lifting and handling arrangements, cable routing, equipment-room layouts, mounting arrangements, installation tolerances, tools, storage and logistics constraints.
Coordinating the preparation, review and maturity of installation plans, procedures, Work Method Statements (WMS), inspection and test requirements, and other documentation required for the transition to execution. Coordinating Installation Engineering activities for the assigned scope and ensuring alignment between engineering deliverables, installation requirements and future Field Operations needs. Supporting the preparation and maturity of the Installation Work Package, ensuring that its technical information, interfaces, methods, resources and execution prerequisites are clearly defined.
Developing and maintaining installation quantities, productivity assumptions, resource requirements and resource curves, in coordination with Planning, Finance, Sourcing and Field Operations. Providing reliable installation cost and schedule inputs and assessing the impact of design changes, deviations, constraints and interface issues on installation planning and performance. Contributing to the definition and preparation of the installation subcontracting strategy, scope, technical requirements, interfaces and expected deliverables.
Supporting the technical coordination of installation subcontractors and suppliers during the DD phase, including readiness, quality, delivery, EHS and interface requirements. Maintaining the installation interface register and monitoring installation-related assumptions, risks, opportunities, actions, deviations, open points and design-change impacts. Coordinating mitigation and recovery actions for critical installation risks, constraints, interfaces and readiness blockers, and escalating unresolved issues when required.
Supporting design reviews, site surveys, installation-feasibility reviews, mock-ups and first-of-kind preparation to validate installation solutions before deployment. Defining and coordinating the DD-to-construction handover package, including approved drawings, installation plans and methods, Work Method Statements, inspection and test requirements, access conditions, permits, work-front readiness criteria, interface status and outstanding open points. Ensuring that installation requirements comply with applicable EHS, quality, configuration, regulatory, product and project requirements.
Ensuring the application of applicable Installation and Field Operations processes throughout installation-readiness and design-coordination activities. Promoting continuous improvement in installation-readiness and future execution performance by capturing lessons learned and Return of Experience (REX), identifying best practices, and contributing to improvements in processes, methods, tools and reference documentation. Reporting installation-readiness status to the HN S&TC Project Manager, including the maturity of strategies and deliverables, critical interfaces, risks, blockers, deviations, open points and proposed recovery actions.
Planning and coordinating the mobilization of installation resources and teams in line with project requirements. Performance measurements: Timely closure of installation and constructability comments. Maturity of installation strategy, methods and handover deliverables. Closure of interfaces, risks and open points against project milestones. Reliability of installation cost, schedule and resource assumptions. Readiness of work fronts and execution inputs at DD-to-construction handover. Savings through Risk mitigation and Opportunities management, Cash by sales milestones achievement Quality, EHS, RSA (Railway Safety Agencies): monitoring, anticipation and reporting on progress and issues
