Engineering Technician @ Actalent

Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Engineering Technician plays a critical role in supporting new systems development by collaborating closely with the Engineering team. This position requires writing in-process test procedures for circuit boards and loading software for system testing. Strong schematic and wiring diagram reading skills are essential for successful system testing.

Responsibilities

• Write in-process test procedures for circuit boards.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering to support new systems development.
• Troubleshoot down to the component level.
• Load software for system testing.
• Report unusual and recurring faults and failures.
• Return defective components to Quality Assurance.
• Travel to customers to conduct inspections, installations, and repairs.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in the electrical/electronic testing field.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Working knowledge of digital electronics.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and test equipment, including digital oscilloscope usage.
• Experience with Analog & Digital power circuits.
• Strong computer skills.
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Bachelors degree desirable.
• Power conversion/power supply experience desirable.
• Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
• Established security clearance highly desirable.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
