BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY: To provide essential Level 1 technical support and on-site maintenance for the District's hardware and software resources. The IT Systems Support Technician serves as the first point of contact for campus-based technology needs, ensuring that classroom and administrative equipment is functional, properly installed, and effectively maintained to support daily educational operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of computer workstation setup (various systems i.e. PC, Apple, Linux, etc.)
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications (various systems i.e. PC, Apple, Linux, etc.)
- Knowledge of computer mobile devices (various systems i.e. Apple, Android, Windows, etc.)
- Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals, including printers, scanners, and presentation devices
- Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware
- Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED; 3-5 years of experience in an IT support role; MTA, MCA, A+, network+, or equivalent certification in relevant programs preferred

Management of Administrative, Fiscal and/or Facilities Functions:
- Install and upgrade computers, mobile devices, and peripherals throughout the district
- Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and equipment as needed
- Install and configure software as needed
- Diagnose and repair equipment, including printers, mobile devices, and personal computers
- Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service; Document all work performed and keep accurate inventory records
- Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying
