DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION
- Paraeducator position in a self-contained classroom supporting students diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
Position requires the following
- Ability to work under the direction of the teacher, including collecting data;
- Provide essential services to a student to meet educational goals and objectives;
- Ability to collaborate with staff in and out of the classroom;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Behavior modification experience/ABA training required and/or willingness to be trained.
- Safety Care-trained or willingness to be trained prior to the start of the school year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Willingness to be Safety Care trained prior to the start of the school year; Ability to perform necessary physical activities to fulfill job responsibilities; Willingness to engage in ABA/behavior training.
