Kildare Sodexo is looking for an experienced and reliable Deli Assistant to join our team at Backweston Campus, working alongside the Head Chef to deliver high-quality food and a professional catering service.
- This is a hands-on role with responsibility for food preparation, service, stock control and maintaining excellent food safety standards.
What you will do
Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day kitchen operation Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard Support breakfast, lunch, hospitality and special events Receive deliveries, check quality and temperature, and store products correctly Maintain FIFO stock rotation, date labelling and traceability Support stock control, ordering and food waste reduction Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards Safely manage dietary and allergen requirements Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen Complete cleaning schedules and HACCP/food safety records Report equipment faults, shortages and food safety concerns promptly
