D.& P. Murphy Castlepollard Ltd t/a Topline Murphys, supplies a wide range of high-quality building materials, hardware products and garden machinery. The company also operates an expanding equipment rental fleet, providing customers with an efficient and professional service. They are currently recruiting Diesel Mechanics to join its expanding team at The Square, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, N91 CY29.

Responsibilities include
- Discuss equipment issues, maintenance plans and work performed with customers.
- Perform routine engine maintenance, such as lubricating parts and replacing spark plugs.
- Test and inspect engines for malfunctioning parts.
- Adjust components according to specifications.
- Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts.
- Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.
- Keep records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used.
- Advising customers on equipment repairs while assisting with counter sales.
Requirements
- A strong and proven track record within Garden Machinery Engines.
- Be results driven, self-motivated, optimistic and resilient.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to use their own initiative.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Garden Machinery and Spares is mandatory.
- Proficiency in IT is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role essential.
Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on a standard 39-hour week.
