Job Responsibilities
- Remove and install pre-mounted tire and wheel assemblies on trucks and trailers.
- Replace steer, drive, trailer, and super single tires.
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper air pressure.
- Check tire tread depths and identify unsafe tire conditions.
- Inspect wheel studs, lug nuts, and mounting surfaces.
- Properly torque wheel fasteners to manufacturer specifications.
- Safely operate hydraulic jacks, impact guns, and torque wrenches.
- Maintain organized tire inventory and storage areas.
- Document tire replacements and report damaged or unsafe tires.
- Keep work areas clean and follow all safety procedures.
- Assist with other shop duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial truck and trailer tires preferred.
- Basic knowledge of tire inspections and wheel installation.
- Ability to operate tire service tools safely.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
