Job Description
- 1. Communicates with Carpenters and others to perform job tasks.
- 2. Shapes materials to prescribed measurements using skill saws, table saws, band saws, etc.
- 3. Assembles cut and shaped materials by fastening them together with nails or screws.
- 4. Verifies the trueness of a structure using a plumb bob and carpenters level.
- 5. Erects shoring and installs plywood decking.
- 6. Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
- 7. Unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- 8. Assists in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
- 9. Cleans and performs minor maintenance activities on tools and equipment.
- 10. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- 11. Must be able to safely traverse uneven terrain with tools and building materials.
- 12. Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work above/below ground as necessary.
- 13. Performs a variety of tasks involving safe dexterous use of hand tools.
- 14. Safely operates power tools and equipment.
- 15. Must be able to climb rebar walls and cages and work at heights.
- 16. Must be able to walk on and work from rebar mats (narrow surfaces).
- 17. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- 18. Typically requires a minimum of 6 months of industrial construction experience.
