About this role
Are you an ISO 9001-certified Auditor and Quality Professional looking for a flexible, high-impact role where you combine hands-on quality specialist work with auditing rigor across two growing organizations?
We’d love to hear from you!
We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented Quality & Compliance Lead (Part-Time) to report directly to our VP of Compliance & Quality and serve as the operational backbone of our QMS initiative.
The Role
As we scale our operations and product offerings, establishing a lean, risk-based Quality Management System (QMS) and achieving ISO 9001 certification are top operational priorities.
In this role, you will balance hands-on QMS development with Lead Auditor responsibilities. You will work closely with our VP of Compliance & Quality to translate standard requirements into practical, streamlined workflows.
As our Quality & Compliance Lead, you will:
- Author Core QMS Procedures: Directly write, update, and maintain foundational quality system procedures and templates, including Document & Record Control, Change Management, Internal Auditing, and CAPA.
- Audit & Review Department SOPs: Review and audit operational procedures drafted by functional teams; deliver constructive feedback to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards without adding bureaucracy.
- Lead Internal Audits: Plan, schedule, and execute thorough internal audits across functional areas, drafting objective audit reports, logging nonconformities, and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Drive Certification Readiness: Coordinate closely with external certification bodies and auditors; prepare teams for Stage 1, Stage 2, and subsequent surveillance audits under the guidance of the VP of Compliance & Quality.
- Manage CAPA & Root Cause Investigations: Partner with process owners to investigate nonconformities, conduct structured root-cause analyses (e.g., 5 Whys), track corrective action items to closure, and verify effectiveness.
- Support Quality Governance: Assist the VP of Compliance & Quality with quality dashboards, KPI tracking, risk registers, and materials for periodic Management Review meetings.
- Coach Cross-Functional Teams: Guide team members on quality requirements, documentation standards, and audit preparedness to foster a shared culture of accountability.
Working Schedule & Location: Part-time commitment with scheduling flexibility is expected (minimum 50% allocation / ~2.5 days per week).
Role is based in Turkiye, preferred to be in Izmir but not mandatory. Candidates based outside of Izmir must be available for in-person meetings in Izmir as part of team collaboration.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Lead Auditor Certification: Mandatory, recognized ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001:2015).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Balanced Experience (Author + Auditor): 3+ years of hands-on quality experience, combining internal audit execution with authoring core quality procedures and reviewing department SOPs.
- Certification Exposure: Practical experience participating in or preparing an organization for external ISO 9001 certification or surveillance audits.
- Fluent English Communication: Fluent written and verbal English skills are essential, with the clarity and confidence to collaborate daily with North American leadership, team members, and external auditors.
- Pragmatic, Lean Approach: Strong ability to balance strict standard compliance with operational agility, avoiding over-engineered paperwork.
- Structured & Self-Directed: Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage audit schedules, track open action items, and deliver quality outputs independently under a part-time framework.
