We are a family-focused salon dedicated to making every visit fun, comfortable, and memorable. From a child's very first haircut to the latest cuts and styles for older kids, our goal is to help every child feel special, confident, and excited about their visit.
Our salon offers a fun, kid-friendly environment where children can enjoy Disney+, play on a tablet, or challenge themselves on the Nintendo Switch while getting their hair done.
We're looking for enthusiastic, talented stylists who love what they do and want to make a difference in a child's day!
The Opportunity
Hair Tropics Cuts for Kids is looking for friendly, outgoing, and passionate hairstylists to join our team! The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a warm smile, and the patience and personality to connect with children of all ages.
You don't need to be a magician, but you should love making little clients feel comfortable, confident, and special!
Whether you're an experienced stylist or looking for a salon where you can grow your skills, we'd love to hear from you.
Full-time and part-time permanent positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair services, including haircuts, shampooing, blow-drying, and styling.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and memorable experience for every child and family.
- Communicate effectively with children and parents, listening carefully to their needs and preferences.
- Stay up to date with current haircutting and styling trends.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment.
- Multitask effectively in a busy, fast-paced salon.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with additional services, such as ear piercing and mini manicures, if trained and comfortable.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of one year of hairstyling experience.
- A warm, friendly, and outgoing personality.
- A genuine love of working with children.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work weekends and evenings, with shifts ending no later than 7:00 p.m.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Previous experience working with children is an asset, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are just as important!

Job Details

*Schedule:* Includes weekends and evening shifts, ending by 7:00 p.m.
