About this role
Fort Saskatchewan Home Hardware Building Centre is hiring a full-time Lumber Yard Associate. You will load and unload materials, keep the yard stocked and organized, and serve our yard customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Load and unload materials safely using forklift, pallet jack, lumber cart and banding machine.
- Greet customers, answer product questions, and help gather and load their orders.
- Keep the yard clean and the inventory neat, orderly and in the right locations.
- Know where all inventory and equipment is kept.
- Take on special projects assigned by your supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience safely operating forklift, pallet jack, lumber cart, banding machine and panel saw.
- Able to move materials weighing up to 100 pounds on and off trucks and pallets.
- Communicate well with customers, management and coworkers.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
