We?re looking for an Optometric Assistant to support both clinical and front-end operations. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
What You?ll Do
- Welcome patients and support a smooth, efficient clinical flow
- Pre-test patients using diagnostic equipment
- Assist the optometrist during exams when needed
- Enter patient information and manage EMR records
- Support contact lens training and patient education
- Assist with eyewear coordination and hand-offs to the optical team
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups
- Support insurance billing and patient inquiries
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
- Collaborate with the team to ensure an exceptional patient experience
What We?re Looking For
- Experience in a medical office, clinic, or customer-facing role
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Comfortable with technology and learning new systems
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Optical or medical experience is an asset (training provided)
