Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Baker to prepare and present high-quality baked goods in a clean, organized kitchen. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on food preparation, takes pride in consistent results, and works well with both kitchen teammates and customers. Experience in baking, food service, or the broader food industry is welcome.
Duties
- Prepare, bake, finish, and package breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and quality standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients, monitor baking times and temperatures, and adjust processes as needed.
- Decorate cakes and other products, following customer requests and established presentation guidelines.
- Assist with general food preparation and cooking tasks as needed.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering product questions and helping customers with selections or special requests.
- Handle ingredients and finished products safely, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean and organized; follow proper storage and labeling practices.
- Check product quality and freshness, and help maintain accurate inventory of ingredients and supplies.
- Package and label products neatly for display, pickup, or storage.
Qualifications
- Baking experience is preferred; training may be available for candidates with a strong interest in learning.
- Cake decorating skills are a plus.
- Restaurant experience, kitchen experience, or other food industry experience is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, food handling, and food safety practices is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and safely handling typical kitchen tools and supplies.
