About this role
Beavertails is seeking a talented and passionate pastry chef to work in our food truck based in Sudbury, Ontario. We travel around Northern Ontario 12 months a year. This is a unique opportunity to work in a high paced environment while following your career path.
*Must be ok with being out of town on weekends.
Duties
- Proof, bake and stretch pastry
- Learn the necessary toppings
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while adhering to food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role (ie. catering, food truck, menu design, start-up) within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Can-do attitude, self-starter is a must.
- Experience in restaurant management is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management

Working 40+hr weekends gives you 3-4 days off during the week.
