_Located on the scenic waterfront in North Vancouver, Bodwell High School is a university-preparatory day and boarding school for Grades 8?12. With 35 years of experience, Bodwell serves families closer to school on the North Shore as day students, and from the Lower Mainland and other provinces, as domestic boarders. We accept students from overseas as full-time boarders. _
About the Role
Bodwell High School is looking for a reliable and responsible *School Bus Driver* to join our team and provide safe transportation for students to school activities, field trips, athletic events, and other scheduled outings.
This is a *part-time/casual position* with a flexible schedule. Trips may take place on weekdays, evenings, and occasionally weekends. Hours will vary depending on the school?s transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students and staff to and from school activities, field trips, athletic events, and other destinations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, and school transportation policies
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students and chaperoned staff while they are on the bus
- Maintain a clean and safe bus environment
- Communicate professionally with school staff regarding trip schedules and transportation needs
- Report any vehicle issues, incidents, or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Class 2 Driver's License with *Airbrake Certificate*
- Valid driver?s abstract with a good driving record
- Previous school bus or commercial driving experience is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Clear criminal record check / vulnerable sector screening as required for working with students
Position Details
- *Location:* Bodwell High School, 955 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver, BC
- Position: *Part-Time / Casual, with guaranteed *full-time hours during the summer camp period (July 12 ? August 7)
- *Pay:* From $28.50 per hour
- *Schedule:* Flexible; varies based on school trips and activities
