Job Title: Security Guard
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to maintain a safe and welcoming residential community. The successful candidate will conduct patrols, assist residents and visitors, respond to incidents and enforce property rules professionally and respectfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas and outdoor spaces.
- Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
- Provide courteous assistance to residents, visitors and contractors.
- Address noise complaints and disturbances using effective communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Monitor parking areas and report violations according to site procedures.
- Check doors, gates and designated access points to ensure they are secure.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns and property damage.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies and requests for assistance according to site procedures.
- Contact emergency services and notify management when required.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, patrol logs and incident reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect resident and property information.
- Follow site instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Previous residential or patrol security experience preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service and report-writing skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and complete regular walking patrols.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and professional appearance.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts.
